Here's some photos to give you the idea.
Pump

Head faucet

Galley faucet/prayer

Added an aft shower/sprayer

What I did was removed the folding part of an old ladder that I found and added it to the bottom of the original ladder. Now it's easy to climb up or down and folds up like the original ladder. Just have to make sure the donor ladder is the same width as the Catalina ladder. I also added the white plastic steps to the round step rails. A little easier on the feet.[;)]

There are 9 replies, with the last one on 12/04/2025 at 07:55:48 by bigelowp
Quote:
My boat was the standard settee configuration and the keel bolts nuts were severely rusted so there was no way they could be tightened. For all the years I owned her the keel bolts were my big concern -- especially when my very capable sailing son and his sailing instructor friends would race the boat in heavy winds. If you determine that the keel bolts cannot be tightened, Catalina Yachts used to offer a kit with new bolts/nuts and a loaner drill to replace the bolts. At one point I asked a local boat yard if they could do the same and the answer was yes, but it would be costly. If you search the forum archives others have successfully replaced keel bolts. Good luck!
