***Motor Sold***

Hi all, we've decided to move up to a motor with electric start so that my fiance can feel more comfortable so I'm selling our current motor which has served us very well.

Take a look at the craigslist for photos:

Text from the Ad:
Up for sale is my 2004 Tohatsu 6hp outboard motor. This engine was on my current boat when purchased approx. 3 years ago and has served us extremely well. I am selling it due to the fact that my fiance has a bad shoulder and is unable to pull-start it. We are hoping that upgrading to an electric start motor will make her more comfortable with operating our boat which is a 25' sailboat. I am located in Annapolis and am willing to show the motor and demonstrate it running for you. Please let me know if you would like to set up an appointment. I am in no rush to sell and will hold on to it until spring if there is no interest right now.

Specifics:
-2004 Tohatsu MFS6A2 - New List Price $1400
-Asking price: $650
-4-Stroke
-21" Long Shaft
-Prop upgraded to high-thrust tohatsu unit for better use as a kicker motor - Spring 2015. Will include both props.
-Alternator installed on motor - Spring 2016
-Water-pump impeller replaced - Spring 2016
-<100hrs - There is a combo tachometer/hr counter to verify this
-Winterized every year and stored inside. This includes include new engine & lower unit oil, draining of all fuel, storage stablizer ran through lines and carb, and lubricating fogging of carb and cylinder.
-Spring service every year including new engine & lower unit oil, spark-plug, fuel filter.
-The motor runs religiously and starts on the first or second pull each time.
-Comes with 3-gal fuel tank and lines.
-Stays under protective cover all of the time.

This engine has years of service left in its life but unfortunately does not fit our current needs anymore. Please feel free to ask any questions or set up an appointment.

Thank you,
Rob

Went for a nice sail this evening with Steve and handed over the motor afterwards so it's sold.

Thank you

For my Cal 25. It's a really nice motor - just what you'd expect from Rob - clean and very thoughtfully maintained. It's newer than my Nissan 6 hp, which is still a good motor, but it's much quieter and smoother, and it has an alternator to keep the battery charged.

Sailing Annapolis Harbor at dusk on a Catalina 25 was a good way to end the season, before I have to go home for the winter.
