I was fortunate to be able to charter a boat and put a crew together to run the Harvest Moon Race out of Galveston. One of our crew put together this video of the race. We had a great time and plan to run it again next year. We sailed 126 miles on a course of about 90 miles in a little over 22 hours. We lost our chart plotter on the first leg and used an i-pad with Navionics to help us on the rest of the course.
Gary Paradise is a good sailing boat. She is not a good boat to sleep in while underway and had several issues with equipment. We plan to run again next year but are looking at a different boat.
