The first images are just coming in of the Oak Bottom Marina on Whiskeytown Lake near Redding, CA.

The Carr fire roared through last night and did a lot of damage.

I heard the sailboats there had been moved to mooring balls to free up slip space for other boats. Apparently not this guy.

Roared is right. The boats in the foreground were, what, 10 feet from shore. But the one in the back, a good 20 yards from the flames?

The fire is generating 60 mph winds and higher gusts, blowing out windows and overturning vehicles. I read the firefighters set some boats adrift before they had to clear out.
