Is there a place, (other than Craigslist), like a scrap yard, where I could find used parts?
I'm looking for stanchions, hand rails, bow rails?

I have an Catalina 25

Ebay and Marine Salvage search on google for your area if you dont want to pay shipping. FYI has good rates on shipping big awkward size items like pulpits and stanchions. Also large items like biminis and pulpits can be cut in half, shipped, and ten married back together with a sleeve.

Over here in Texas, we have several Boat Resale Shops. They have used parts for just about everything for the boat. Here is the website to the largest shop near my house: http://www.boatersresaleshopoftexas.com/

Hey Carlos, where do you keep your boat? I'm at Watergate.

CA has Minnies Marine Surplus. Goggle search: marine recycle, marine salvage, marine reseller, marine surplus for larger cities close to your location. Minnies is a walk in only but they do advertise specials and keep a online log of used sails. When Catalina Yacht was building in CA they got lots of new surplus or discontinued parts from Catalina Yachts.

Hey GaryB, my boat is at Bal Harbour, in Nassau Bay. Glad to know there is someone in the association near me!

Sailynn, I checked out Minneys website. Looks like they have a fairly large inventory.

I will be next door at Windward Sea Venture this Saturday
I have chartered "Shiraz" for the Harvest Moon Race From them and we will be inspecting the boat after a meeting at Lakewood Y C.
Last year we used "Paradise" from them for the race.

Cool! Weathers supposed to be nice next weekend and I'm hoping to make it down to the boat at some point.

I've seen Paradise around a few times.
