Greetings all - am moving and need to sell Whisper. $1,500 to Association members and referrals.

-2 year old Garmin
-solar panel charger
-Swim ladder
-Additional swim ladder
-Shore power cables
-All cabin and cockpit cushions
-Manual bilge pump
-Electric bilge pump
-Two (2) Danforth anchors with rodes
-Bug screen for main hatch
-Bug screen for forward hatch
-Ice box with drain
-marine battery
-porta-potty
-3 PFDS
-Solar powered vent fan
-Pop top
-Drop down table with cushion to create sleeping berth
-Swing keel winch replaced in 2017, lifting cable replaced every two years
-Main sheet, boom vang, main outhaul, split backstay, main sheet traveler

Wow--I'll call that well below the usual market value. Many of us know Jerry from discussions here, and would definitely expect this to be a well-found vessel. (One of its best features is this association and forum!)

Best of luck, Jerry!

More like a clearance fire sale.

Had to drop the price...There is an '84 WK next town over, originally listed for $2,500, dropped it to $2,000 since I posted... I've now change my listing to $1,700 on CL: https://longisland.craigslist.org/boa/d/motivated-to-sell/6728288167.html

Will still make a deal w/ an Association member...I just want to avoid winter storage fees.

So...we sold her...who ever first said that famous quote about the "two best days of a boat owners life..." never had the experiences I've had with family, friends and single handing...my grown daughters cried and I had to promise to get a boat once we are settled in VA...

Where are you moving to in VA? We have a few members on the Potomac river.

Jerry,
y'all come! Todd, Larry and I are in Northern Virginia, close to Washington, DC. Nice, comfortable sailing here on the "rivah". If you are settling near us, I even have a little Catalina 16.5 on a trailer available for daysailing use, be willing to rent her out or sell her to y'all if you need an interim sailing "fix" while you are looking for another Cat 25 (or bigger *grin*).

Regards,

Congrats! My sale of my beloved Passage was due to changes in life, location, partner, etc. Sarge fit the new circumstances better. Changes can be renewing—even after tragedy as mine were. You’ll find new joy in VA!

Thanks for the kind offers and well wishes. We'll be settling in northern VA, but my daughter and son-in-law live in Norfolk. Not sure where we'll keep the new boat...will stay in touch!
