There are a few long-time participants here, some who I know have moved to other boats; some who may have (or not); who I haven't seen or heard anything about for at least a few years, in case anyone has some intelligence on them or they're lurking here (in which case, WAVE!)...

Don Lucier (I was told pronounced "Lewshear")
Duane Wolf (early webmaster)
Paul Alcock (another long-time webmaster--still?)
Arlyn Stewart (C-250 guru)
Oscar van Loveren
Steve Auerbach (long-time Treasurer)
Frank Gloss
Val Bisagni (sold, and probably long retired from sailing)
Sten Hillman (Red Viking and Anchor Sten)
Don Peet (The Reverend...)
Larry Charlot
Stu Jackson (a C-34 activist in Mainsheet)
Jim Baumgart (past Commodore retired on a big boat somewhere in Central America (?))
...etc.

This is just the beginning of a long list of old friends here--any others anyone might wonder about? Many of them and others helped me to choose our C-25 and to figure it out afterward. Any news from any of them or anyone who knows anything about them? Any others for the search? (The word "any" is purposefully overused. )

Wow Dave,
What a blast from the past!
It’s great that the Admiralty is still quite active and a testimony to the quality of this group.

Excellent thread. I doubt if these folks realize how much their comments, suggestion and advise have influenced other Association participants over the years. I would add others like Dave and Frank Hopper, who are still active, and who have been more than influential in all of our journeys with our boats. I know Jim Baumgart has a Facebook page, but the others seem to have more quietly retired. Hope good contact information may be gleaned by this. Thank you Dave!

Yes, thanks Dave for posting. I also am glad Leon is checking in again...learned a lot from his experiences. Another we hear too little from that has contributed much in the past is Bill Holcomb.

Yup, but it seems Bill is still lurking--he jumps in when a question touches on the history of Catalina and the C-25 (having once been a dealer in those days). Thanks Bill!

Interesting that this list comes up now.
Some names that worked hard to make sure the Assoc. survived after the tumultuous Trailer Sailor debacle....
and some others....
Well...

I see Stu Jackson contribute pretty regularly on another forum, Sailboatowners, i think, or Sailnet. He still knows what he's talking about, and is considered one whose input is greatly respected. Great list! I miss a lot of those folks. Jim Baumgart was my hero, with his reports of all his sailing to Catalina and back, and his racing. :)

The value of our boats and boating experience has been, like Peter mentioned in his posting, greatly enhanced by these and other people.

The confidence of sailing and tackling boat related projects has, for a great deal, been derived from the experience and willingness to share by participants on this forum. Often friendships and ongoing relation ships have resulted.

You're all my heroes
