Does anyone have any experience with some kind of table for the cockpit of a Catalina 25 ?
I have a tiller.
Is there something that mounts off the coaming instead of the cockpit floor ?
I only want to use it at the dock or at anchor, not while underway.

I installed a Todd Posi-Lock Oval Table several years ago, and have been very very happy with it. It's a good fit for the C25 cockpit. The Posi-Lock is better than the push-pull types: the table does not wobble! We orient the table so that the long dimension is athwartship while underway, or fore and aft while at anchor or in the slip. With the flush mount and the table stowed, there is no interference in the cockpit.

I use two folding tables. They can be used in the cockpit or inside for the extra guests you might have or put them wherever you need them. No holes or screws and the two of them stow perfectly in the cubby behind the head. This is one of them.

My boat came with a nice finished piece of wood that fits in the cockpit and rests on the benches. It has a couple small blocks attached to the underside that keep it snugly in place between the cockpit benches. Easy to deploy and easy to store.

This is about as simple as it comes but works for me. Will probably refinish it in the off season.
I have two one for the companionway and one for the stern if I have guests.

Thanks guys. I think I'll go with John Adlam and Peregrines idea. Pretty easy to build. I have to be careful with accessories to the boat. I have the inboard engine, so I'm missing some of the storage you other guys might have.

We always used the port locker cover from the cabin...similar to Peregrines solution. Simple, good size and doesn’t require extra storage.

I love Scott’s wooden folding table. My dad had one just like it but made out of blue plastic. Same slats and built-in carry handle.
Right now I have a piece of 7/8” pine shelving painted white that’s about 28” long and about 11” wide. I butt glued two pieces together and had that piece leftover when I put a shelf in the laundry-room.
Does the job there and also bridging the seats in the dinette style cabin.

Gerry - Are you talking about the “icebox” cover in the galley? Any time I open my cooler cover, I lose my keys, my phone and a few other important items down the hole!

I think he means the hatch cover under the seat cushion in the cabin.

Bruce, Scott's right....we have a traditional interior with storage under the settees. If I recall, you have the dinette option.

As for loosing things....I've lost two LED small flashlights over the years in non-accessible areas of the bilge in events I couldn't reproduce if I wanted...a slip of the hand or unexpected wake, a bounce, an open, even if unprobable, path to the bilge and ...

Yes I do. The dinette style seats have a board under each port-side seat, and they are about 36-40” long. Of course if I removed the board inevitably somebody would sit on the cushion and drop right down into the bilge, keister-first!!
