Wondering if anyone has ever added a Teak/Holy cabin sole to the interior of the boat. We had the old carpet but that was just a mold growing cesspool! Hate the plastic look and want to see if its possible....

I’ve thought about PlasTeak flooring—recycled, essentially like vinyl, so simple to install, no maintenance, and impervious to moisture. I’m going to replace my exterior handrails with theirs, which they’ll make to my measurements. I’ve lost interest in caring for the real stuff, and I doubt anybody will know these aren’t oiled teak unless I tell them. (Of course, now I’ve told everyone here.)

i might try plasteak or one of those faux teak next year. I did try the eva foam teak on ebay. dont use it. the glue does not adhere well, it stains, and is just not that tough. looked good for the first week or so. its only redeeming quality is that it felt good on your feet.

I have a local carpet guy that regularly provides me with decent remnants the right size, so I switch out the carpet pretty often. Just use the old one as a pattern to cut out the new one, and use a small blow torch to sort of set the edges.
