1988 wing keel Trailrite (sp?) trailer.

My current tires are L78-15 Load range B 1970 lbs. I don't know if they are original and whether they are properly sized. My trailer with boat barely fits in the shed so I can't use larger tires. I only have to tow about 5 miles each way twice a year. What tires would be good replacements?

Goodyear Endurance ST205/70R15 Load range D 2150 looks like it could be a substitute.

I would ask your favorite tire store for an opinion on which trailer tire will rot the slowest.

It doesn't seem like you're using up the tire with mileage, dry rot is your enemy.

It also may just cheaper to buy less expensive tires and replace every five years vs. expensive that last a little longer.

It seems that many places, like West Marine and Wal-Mart, sell mounted tires on rims. While maybe (or maybe not) the cheapest way to go, it certainly is the easiest and no need to search for an odd size tire.

I have the Goodyear Endurance on my Trail-Rite - excellent tire.
