Catalina Direct offers three different holding tanks for our boats. All three state that they are for traditional and dinette interiors. The one that costs $287.93 appears to be the closest in dimensional shape to the fresh water tank under the starboard settee, which I'm guessing would have the best fit under the port settee in a traditional interior. So why do they offer the others? What am I missing?
My 85 with traditional interior has the fresh water tank on the port side so, who knows? Looks like you have to carefully check the dimensions and the location of the outlets to get the right one. The CD people will be very helpful.

I have the dinette table interior - with two opposing bench seats with a table in between on the port side. The tank that looks the closest to mine is item # Z1987, Holding Tank C-25 Trad C-27 Dinette, C-30 C-36 for $287.93
Folks with port and starboard settees might have a different tank, but I have no direct experience on this.
Oh, wait!!! Did you say port settee? There’s another one that’s a mirror image of the starboard settee tank. Look at Z1991 or E2219. They look to be the obverse of the starboard tanks. Z1991 is smaller and more likely to fit, but check the dimensions.
Route cause answer is that Catalina made both modifications over the many years our boats were manufactured and had two versions -- standard and dinette. An additional factor is that they used parts, such as tanks, in different models so a change in one model, say the 27, might cascade to a change in the 25. Whenever I have purchased parts from either Catalina yachts or Catalina Direct, I have measured and measured again to make sure I have the correct size and then let them advise if their is any confusion.

Guys, Don't confuse the holding tank with the fresh water tank Holding tank was placed on the port side and the fresh water on the starboard side. From the manuals & brochures
quote:FRESH WATER SYSTEM
The galley is supplied fresh water from a 16 gallon high density plastic tank located under the starboard settee. The tank is filled thru the vent cap mounted directly on the tank or thru the optional deck fillplate, located on the starboard side deck. The deck fill is labeled water.
quote:HOLDING TANK
The optional holding tank is made from high density polypropylene plastic. The tank capacity is 14 U.S. Gallons. It is located under the forward end of the settee or dinette seat on the port side.
