Just out of curiosity I asked AI to anchor a 25ft Catalina sailboat 1) in a totally sheltered and 2) in a sheltered anchorage location.

AI created the following two amazing images, using the minimal information provided...

Granted the boats shown appear to be larger than 25 ft, the closeness of the dock to the anchored boat is a bit problematic and the dingy is too large but...

Oh by the way... for those of you who have problems downloading photos, give me a shout... I finally am starting to get the swing of it

Yes... painting alright. It's unbelievable!! You're right it's scary the way things are going. In these two submitted projections you can still detect glitches but overall it created in 3 seconds a pretty close to reality photo's with the minimum given information.

Wonder what the up-coming generation is going to study, learn and do during their 40 to 50 year careers... or will it be like the steam, engine or industrial revolution.

Next... just for fun, I should ask AI for the design of an absolute perfect blue water 25ft live-aboard sailboat using the latest most up-to-date materials

Henk - you’re one heckuva painter! It’s pretty amazing how these “robotic apes” can mimic human behaviour, but these images do still appear to be a little bit cartoonish. Thanks be that they haven’t quite gotten the knack completely, as you can still tell. But what happens when you can no longer tell? Hmmm
