Hello,

I'm a new (to me) 1980 Catalina 25 owner. I just signed up for the forums, and this might be a dumb question, but when searching it seems to only show results from the past year and a half or so, even when searching by "Any Date".

Is there a way to search posts that go back longer than 2 years? I am sure there are a lot of informational posts that would come up.

Agree with Bruce as far as utilizing the other Bulletin Boards in the Forum versus this one which is at the bottom and hardly any postings.

But here is the answer to your question and I checked just to make sure.
First of all, it is highly likely that the SEARCH engine can only pull postings as far back as what is currently stored in the program/archives. Anyway, the key word above is ARCHIVES. When you do a search and want to go back say more than a year, you need to check the box marked ARCHIVES. As an example, just searching on BOAT, postings pulled up go back only as far back as 2024. But if you click/check off on ARCHIVE, then it will pull up postings going back even before 2010!

Hi Matt - welcome and congratulations on your new boat and thanks for your question. I don’t know exactly how but I was surprised to come upon your post in this out-of-the-way folder. Perhaps you can try posting your question in the General section if you want to get some more hits.
