Sharing my pop top modifications. My brother gets the credit for doing all of the work. I supplied the requests and he made it happen:

In it's original design...the front of the cover was supported by the forward portion of the companionway hatch being raised on prop rods. So the first change was the creation of a new roof bow and brackets that allowed the forward portion of the hatch to be lowered and still support the top.
The second phase was the installation of a screen, window flap, and privacy cover in the rear portion of the pop-top.
The final modification was the installation of a window in the forward portion of the cover to allow full forward visibility while sailing with the pop-top still installed but hatch closed.

The vent in the companion way is another story. I added a portable tower unit air conditioner behind the stairs.

That looks very nice! I wish my boat had come with the poptop enclosure. :-/

Well done. Very nice and beautifully executed... this adds a lot of serviceability to the use of the pop-top.
One could even consider, given the forward vision, to sail with the pop-top up.

Years ago we came up with a similar, albeit much more basic idea, to use the pop-top with the hatch down and the slider open. In some parts of the country bug screens and good ventilation is a must

The forward pop-top support

1/2" x 2" sliders are used to support the screen horizontally in the hatch opening. 1/2" round dowels are used connected with 1/2" id tubing to form the round corners in the companion way hatch to hold the bug screen in place.

The horizontal screen can also be used by just hanging it over the pop-top opening.
