I am a member of the Santa Cruz California Yacht club which has a winch for launching boats. I see a lot of Santana 22s, Santa Cruz 27s and Olson 30s lifted up by a strap attached to a bracket on the keel. I am interested to know if that is an option for a Catatlina 250 MK II with the wing keel and more importantly, does anyone have experience doing so. If not, do any others routinely do it with straps and a bridle?
Thanks,
Will Snow

The marina launches my wing keel in the spring and retrieves it in the fall using slings. Never had a problem.
