Posted - 02/02/2022 : 09:31:53 A C25 sailor on another forum is asking how to disconnect these engine controls so he can replace the deteriorated plywood upon which it was originally mounted. I'm not sure, but these look like factory throttle and shifter for an inboard-powered C25. Please click on the link.
It might help if anyone can identify the manufacturer of the control assembly.
What a PIA, you have one lever for the throttle, fast/slow, and the other lever for forward/neutral/reverse. If you're just moving forward, it's not an issue, but when backing out of the slip it's a handful. One hand to adjust the throttle, the other hand to adjust the gear position, and a third hand to steer the rudder. My unsolicited advice is to replace those two lever controls with a single lever throttle/gear shift. Center position is neutral. Move the lever forward, and the boat moves forward. Move the lever forward further, and the engine speeds up. Reverse is the opposite direction. All with one hand, so you can steer with the other. The other added advantage is you have to throttle down when shifting from forward to revers, or vice versa which saves wear and tear on the transmission.

Posted - 02/02/2022 : 19:14:06 Those look like Yanmar factory engine controls from around the late 1970's or early 1980's. As I recall, the lever handles can be unplugged or unscrewed, and stored separately to reduce chances of snagging lines and body parts on them.
On my 1979 Catalina 25, I replaced the small thin piece of plywood stiffening the vertical port side of the cockpit foot well with a larger piece of epoxy coated plywood bonded in place with epoxy mush. That really firmed up the thin fiberglass, eliminating the flimsy oil can feeling.
