Ebay is a finely oiled machine. You must join eBay to access it's prerogatives. The amount of fraud that would occur without a verifiable membership would be out of hand. A credit card hooks into their ability to verify information and certify you as a reasonable risk. Only after you attain that level would they let you have access to a seller. Imagine the con artists that would inundate the sellers with "offers" were it not for this simple credit card requirement. If you are not an eBay member you are missing out on the 21st century. Hmmm connectivity.
