I was just looking at Franks site and the pics of the battered Hobie. We keep Joint Decision alongside our house and Framk's pics made me think about holding her down in high winds (we are in south east florida and occassionaly get some :)
I researched the web but couldn't find any that were more than very lightweight.
Anyone know of a good resource for some very sturdy holddowns or should I just set some concreate and wire loops in the ground?
The builder's supply companies sell ground screws to hold down small storage barns that they sell to put in your back yard. They're usually required by building inspectors, and are considered adequate to keep those structures from blowing away. They should be adequate to hold down a Hobie or C25/250 in most conditions.
They're needed to hold down Joint Decision, (not a Hobie, it was seeing the hobie blown around in the pics on Franks website that made me consider tying down Joint Decision.
I'll check with the Shed suppliers down here. Thanks.
