We’ve added Overton’s and Boater’s World to the Links section of our main site. They are both affiliate programs and give the organization a referral fee for any purchases made by individuals clicking our link to get to their site. While these are both more power oriented, they each have a number of items that we use and in some cases are a better deal.

If you do not see the new links, click your refresh button on your browser. There are probably 5 to 8 more affiliate programs coming including sunglass hut, Cabelas (for you fisherman out there) 123 GPS to name a few.

So please remember to click here first if you plan on making any online purchases.

Shouldn't this be made a sticky?
Would Defender be a candidate?

Rick,
Making this a sticky might not be a bad idea, however we will have a few more of these announcements over the next few weeks and I’d rather throw a new post out for each to give them all the same visibility.

I also feel that the officers, regulars as well as all of the other members have a vested interest in this and should see it as their duty to remind members in their posts when it comes up that something might need to be purchased.

As for Defender – they would be an excellent candidate, but unfortunately they are not a company that currently participates in any affiliate program via 3rd party vendors or by themselves. Down the road we intend to approach some of these companies for special discounts to our group. The focus right now is to get aligned with the companies that have something already set up and in place.
