First I would like to say that I am a newbie and have found this site to be wonderfuly helpful. However, my recent experience of hauling my 25 sk out was extremely pricy. I just purchased the boat and talked to my hauler about moving it from the sea to my yard. He explained some of his prices and I thought that this year it might be worth it to have the boat closer to me then in a yard, considering I want to do work to the boat in the spring. However, when I got the bill I was upmost surprised at the cost, After blocking, chains, hauling, lowering of the mast, and powerwashing. The cost was near that of being in a yard! Needless to say i know boating is expensive but there must be another way.
Further thought yielded me to post this message. If there is anyone out there that would be willing to provide their trailer for the day and possible their assistance in raising my mast in the spring I would be more then happy to compensate them for their time and use of their trailer. I would feel much better giving my money to someone who shares the same experience as me, rather then a expensive hauling company! Thanks so much for your time reading this post.
