By now you’re probably sick of me and my darned links, but here is another update:
We’ve been continuing to update the Links page and have added sections that we hope will continue to grow.
For Affiliates, there is now a Boat Insurance and loans section we’ve added a link from Boat US for quotes on boat insurance. Albeit, only one link in this section now, we hope for more in the future. Also added are a Boat US boat graphics link, Sunglass Hut Link and a new fishing section for those of us who like to drop the big hook and then throw another hook with a worm over the side. In that section currently there is a Bass Pro Shops Link. Literally hundreds of fishing affiliate programs are available, if this is welcomed, there can easily be more added. Lastly we’ve added a program from a company that makes tenders and dinghies in a company called Eagle Inflatibles.
A free link for Scuttlebutt (no charge to you and no benefit to us) has been added. Scuttlebutt is primarily a racing newsletter published daily both online, and if you wish, delivered to your in box. There have been a few other links added from information from the members including Hallett Sails too.
We are still working on Member discounts as well. It seems most companies will give a advertising fee to an organization, but don’t want to give the membership a discount. It’s a slow battle but we are getting there.
What’s Next: As the holiday season approaches, we will have the opportunity to change the links from many of these providers to include holiday Sale items. These are usually available via web purchase only and are discounted prices compared to the same companies retail locations. We will have more on that later.
Do you have a favorite sailing site? Post the URL to this thread and we will work to fit it in – it doesn’t have to be a revenue generator either. We will post anything that applies to sailing and the sailing life.
Lastly – if you are going to buy, we urge you to check out the prices online by going through our Links page.
