Well, it would seem that "This Side Up" will not be making an appearance at this year's Nationals One crewman will be teaching 12 Midshipmen from Annapolis to sail a Navy 44 in the Atlantic: the other will be bare-boating in the Windwards! Apart from this, I have neither a trailer nor a tow vehicle...
However, I wonder if anyone in the Holland area has a C25 (preferably a TR) that I can beg, borrow (or even rent!) Or does anyone need a semi-competent helmsman? (I'll gladly pay the entry fee!)

Derek,
I also have a number of years of racing experience, mostly bigger PHRF boats. The Flying Wasp has neither a trailer nor an owner with enough time to transport from Cleveland. I would be interested in joining up with whomever, or possibly helping you with rental/entry fees. I would really love to sail in Spinaker class, however realize that it isn't always possible in our fleet.

Duh....somehow I missed the where and when of this event. I know it was discussed earlier and Derek suggested Canyon Lake at the time. Too far for me (on W. Coast). Is it in the Great Lakes? That was a possibility at one time.....Wazzup? Gary Encore! #685 SK/SR trad.

Well, well, well, isn't that a coincidence. I was just thinking this a.m. that it's time to take OJ on a trip somewhere this season. Another coincidence, she's due for another coat of VC-17 this spring.
I don't have a racing spinnaker or pole, but I do have a trailer and a tow vehicle.

Hey Derek, where did you go? Are you waiting for a better offer or are you, as George W. would say "all hat and no cattle ?"

Steve - I do appreciate the offer! Right now a few of us are considering our options. I REALLY do intend to come this year - but I would like to be on a Tall Rig (I've already won the SR) 'cos that's the config with which I am most familiar, and I don't think anyone has ever won both!.
