My first reaction was, Huh? But now I understand what you are talking about. The web site was moved to a different server and I think we may have had to forums running at the same time. But now one is gone and the site is on the new server. I lost a post, so I will have to repost.

Is there any way to "cut and paste" to this forum the activity that was stranded on the other forum during the transition?

No, it is totally gone. I had the forum shut down during the move, but I think that server was rebooted and the forum was started up automatically without my knowledge.

Why?

Man, I hate when that happens.

Just curious. There were a lot of good posts made during that period. Selfishly, I was hoping my long post on encouraging a volunteer to act as project manager for setting up a program with Land's End could be recovered. Oh, well, water under the hull.

BTW, response times do seem to have improved. Thanks!

Limited experience JB, but I'm willing to try to help. What can I do?

That's great! Thanks, Rick. However, think thrice before volunteering for a position that no one else seems to want. ;-)

My other post lined out my thoughts on the steps that need to be taken. They are:

1) Establish contact with the person in charge of Land's End's logo program,
2) Determine specifics and costs of the program, both to association and to members,
3) Inform the Officers and receive approval to proceed,
4) Obtain, or have created, artwork for the three class insignia and the association,
5) Submit artwork to Land's End for digitization,
6) Review and approve embroidered logo samples,
7) Submit the set-up invoices, or have submitted directly, to me for payment,
8) Establish and launch the program, including coordinating the appropriate website mods,
9) Maintain and manage the relationship and program going forward, as necessary.

Obviously, the front-end is the yeoman's work, and maintaining the program should really not require much effort. Please let us know if you'd like to take ownership of this project.

Thanks again for your interest,
