The entire stainless box and gimbled stove out of my '81 C25. Burners are pressurized. If interested, please make an offer. I've no idea as to a price. More than anything, I want it out of my storage room. Thanks! Link w/pictures on TrailerSailor:
I made the mistake of cutting out a section of my stove box to make room for a propane camp stove fuel line. Found out later that the fuel line would have fit without me cutting a notch out of the right side. Now whenever I look at the notch I want to kick myself for cutting it unnecessarily. If you would consider selling the box I would be willing to pay $40.00 plus shipping. I have a 1987 boat. Are they all the same? Interesting thing happened when I used the stove for the first time. The propane fuel line ended up going forward instead of towards the back of the stove. Which means the propane canister ended upside down and pushed the liquefied propane into the fuel line instead of the gaseous form. VERY VERY DANGEROUS!! Realized this when I unscrewed the canister and it took about 30 to 40 seconds for the excess propane fuel to bleed back out of the stove and fuel line. Immediately got off the boat and did not return for the rest of the afternoon. I guess what I’m saying is never use a propane cylinder upside down. I believe the liquefied contents get pushed out the instead of the gaseous form. Ended up running a threading die over the end of the tube where the receptacle for the canister threads on so that I could get another half turn out of it when I reassembled it, thus now making the canister go on with the outlet and threads of the propane canister facing up. Anyways, I’m interested in the stove box and if you want to sell it separate the offer is on the table. Please let me know.
Bruce, I just read your message. A fellow contacted me directly via email and I think we struck a deal. If he doesn't follow thru, I'll email you-but it seems Dan has a stove as well. I do have a small two burner, non-pressurized Optimus stove out of another boat. I'd love to get rid of this one too.
