Thanks Oscar, I knew the math, I just thought your boat could plane a bit beyond theoretical being a fin/wing keel? Like I said, I know very little about the 42's. I have to admit I am surprised that my Capri is capable of a faster speed in lower winds than a 42. I'll be a lot less hesitant to join the races next summer. Those 32's and 34's had me intimidated this summer. Not a fair comparison, I realize, but so much of this is still new to me. Thanks for taking the time to clarify! I'm glad your trip to Ft. Lauderdale went so well. The sleep deprivation is a show stopper for me, I admire your endurance and tenacity.
