I just replaced my motor mount with a 4 spring model. The 2 spring model is I believe rated for motors weighing 60-80 lbs. It was being used for a 12 yr old Honda 4-stroke (~ 100 lbs) using a block and tackle for raising it. Interested in find ing it a home. Anyone interested in it for $50 ?
The motor mount has the old wood mounting board and that is attached to the supports by 4 SS bolts/nuts. At the top and bottom of the mounts, there are also spot welds but on this bracket the top spot welds are cracked. Even so, the 4 SS bolts believe are sufficient for all applications as it has been used up to a week or two ago using the above 4 stroke motor. My website has photos of the new bracket but believe I also have one photo of the old bracket - Look for the wood mounting board. http://catalina25.homestead.com/olarryr.html
Anyone interested in this motor mount to use as is or to upgrade with the new polymer boar, let me know. Pickup would be best if any in my area - Northern Virginia.
I may be interested in the bracket, depending in part on how hard it would be to pick up. My boat at the moment is at Chincoteague. Do you ever get out that way?
I appreciate the interest but...just sold the bracket and shipping it to Utah in the next day or so. It is already boxed.
Chincoteague is about 3 1/2 - 4hrs away from me. I was down that way a couple of years ago with the family. Had a great time biking in the area and seeing the wild horses.
