About this time 2 years ago I took the class and aced the written test for the club principal race officer. The following year I didn't log enough time to get official sign off, so I figured I gained the knowledge but lost the certificate due to my lack of action.

I later found out that the test is good for 2 years. This past season I ran a race here and there and picked up the things I hadn't done. Along the way I also got to run a race at the Junior Olympics - that was a blast. Today I got my US Sailing Certificate in the mail. For the next four years I am officially a PRO - Club level with US Sailing.

Hopefully they'll get hteir website updated sometime soon.

That's still a few levels above me yet. Maybe when I retire I can look into that. Based on current investment returns I figure I have about 30 more years to go for that.
