Frank may want to take the 5th on this one Judy and I had a great visit with him & Martha while they were here over Christmas. Derek P.S. You are not lame - just "hand"icapped
Sorry about your injury. Probably puts some of your projects on the backburner for awhile or at least slows them down. I guess if it's going to happen, winter is about the best time for an injury - At least it doesn't interfere with sailing during the Spring, Summer and Fall. Larry
Frank, Sorry to hear about your accident. The rest of the new year has got to be better. After a few weeks of R & R you'll be up and at 'em again. I once saw an accountant who could operate a 10 key adding machine with one finger better than most could using all their fingers, so no excuses accepted for not contributing to the forum. Don't stop now your contributions are an inspiration and well as infromative. Bill
once again, thank you all for your kind wishes i went to the hand surgeon yesterday and when i told him i sail he said he would rather leave me with an ugly bone and untouched muscles and tendons than operate to give me a pretty bone and cut the aforementioned. he did however agree that it was healing poorly and part of the bone was trying to exit my hand so he pulled on my knuckle until the healing bone separated again at the three breaks, reset it and put on a cast to hold the bone fragments in a better alignment while they re-heal. it took several minutes to pull the bone sections into alignment. the new xray looked much better than the old. the really bad news is they called and totaled my car today, it was an 01 town and country van with 24k on it... immaculate... pristine, they are giving me 16k; man i screwed up.
Sorry to hear about the whole mess Frank but it sounds like you were lucky to suffer only a broken hand if the wreck was bad enough to total your car. Again, hope it heals quickly for you.
That sounds like a fair price for your car....is it? I was cringing when you talked about rebreaking your finger. I hope the doc gave you pain pills. Cheers.
