It is definitely Sydney. If you squint, you can see the Opera House just to port of the bridge. This is the same bridge where they have that really cool fireworks "waterfall" on New Year's Eve each year.

Sydney, nice picture. Maybe it's hard to tell due to scale, perspective, etc., but some of those little "starter" boats don't look like they'll fit under that bridge in the background.

Looks like the start of the Sydney to Hobart race on a Boxing Day. Was there for one 7 years ago and had front row seats on a ferry as the field went out thru the harbor mouth. Without a doubt, the most exciting sporting event i ever witnessed. The harbor was jammed with boats. Seemed like you could have walked ashore on the boats. Great fun. Thousands of beautiful boats.
