We had 22 sailors representing 13 Catalina 25s and 250s at our Fleet meeting yesterday. Pretty good turn out for a rainy, blustery Sunday afternoon.

Great time...friends made, plans discussed, deals brokered, beer and wine consumed, grub eaten, slides seen, and.......

New Fleet Captain chosen: Nate Hanson of the C25 WK/SR Leucothia will serve for the 2006 season. Congrats, Nate!

Derek, I would, personally, like to see our fleet host a Nationals again, but the lack of air in 2004 may have taken away that opportunity. There was disappointment from too many key players, I think.

I think we should race on the Columbia River downstream by St. Helens, where the wind usually toots, (I think you remember that stretch of the creek! from the Six Pac), but it doesn't have the accommodations that Portland has. Good air, but logistic concerns.

In Portland, evenings are better than days on the river, but most every night of the week has races already going on out there!

We'll see what the new leadership says.....

We have 15 C25s and 250s getting a group rate at Tomahawk, with, hopefully, more coming.....

This is a GREAT group of folks, and I am proud to have been the Fleet Captain since our inception in 2002.

I think that the lack of wind those days was an aberration! I remember the Six-Pak well - it really was Columbia wind!
