This is basically a handyman special. I would like to get something for this motor - $175 or best offer. This is at present on my boat and is for pickup/local delivery.

It is hard starting. Manually, it will most times not start at all. Electric Start - It works. 50% of the time it starts on 1st, 2nd try. The other 50% it starts when it is good and ready. May take up to 1 1/2 hours before it starts. Once motor is running, it runs very well. Alternator works fine - charges the battery. Comes with 6 gallon tank. Tank works fine !

Because I advertised a low price and put it on Craig's List (an online free service for some areas), I have received numurous offers to buy the motor from handyman types willing to tear the motor down and do what is necessary. I will probably sell it today or tomorrow, so I would hold off sending me any EMails for now. If the situation changes, I will provide an update. Thanks to all that inquired via EMail.

Motor sold !

As it turned out, I was inundated with phone calls and EMails from listing it on Craig's List and for such a low price. The motor started up fine, then restarted twice with no problems. Went thru the motions of forward, reverse and then showed on my solar controller that the battery was charging from the motor since the voltage was bumping up. Then while 3 of us were talking boat talk and the motor was idling...it konked out...and would not restart. But the first of the two that showed up, bought the motor.
