I have a C25 that was missing all the major teak in the cabin when I bought it. I'd like to build drawers but want to avoid the expense of Teak. Is there another common wood alternative that will stand up better than others? I was thinking either maple or poplar.
Mahogany, Oak (though some say no way), teak, holly, cocobolo, maple, cedar.
I've seen tons of different woods. I think if you seal it properly just about anything will work. Poplar is really soft, not sure about that one, it may hold up to moisture, but not dings.
