I probably spent an hour on that ebay page already. There are a couple of HELOCs that I have open and some savings, I could get the geech together quickly. But then what would I do with two boats?
Is ther any indication of location? Is this guy really gonna pay for shipping? Its his first item up for bid.....
Approved bidder has always been a ligit gig. I'm not buying the thing, but just because he hasn't sold anything doesn't mean he's bad either. I'm actually going to list old all metal tonka trucks next month. I've never sold didly on ebay, does that make me a scam artist?

There actually isn't anything there to report. <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">
The title is in violation with Ebay's format. He is saying "buy it now" an actual term that ebay has built into their interface. He has not listed it as a "buy it now" - clear violation.
These pop up all the time in the SLR camera auctions. There is always someone selling a Canon d1 for $3000 under the marketable price. The listings get pulled within hours. Lets see how long this one lasts.
I will mess with the guy if he bites!
EDIT: He is now no longer a registered user. The plot thickens. He has 3 other boats for sale with similar pretenses.
I emailed him and actually got a reply. He said the boat was in Budapest, and that he would take care of having it shipped. Budapest is on a river, but there are no lakes nearby and it's a long way to the Adriatic. Sounded pretty bizarre to me -- and the price was literally too good to be true.
The 2005 Catalina 310 is like new, with no scratches, no marks, no hidden defects. There are only 60 hours on the boat and engine. It looks great. It is in excellent condition, I have only used it for a few times and only in fresh watter. Unfortunately,I must sell it right away. This is a one owner boat and it has a clear US title. If you are interested in buying it the price is $34,000.00. The boat will be shipped from Budapest ,Hungary and I will handle all shipping arrangements and costs. It will take no more than 12-14 days for the shipping company to deliver the boat to you. The transaction will go through eBay for our own protection. They will hold and insure your money until receipt of the boat in good conditon. You will have 15 days from the time you receive the boat to inspect it and decide if you want to keep it or not. If you wish to purchase it please provide me your full name and address so I can initiate the deal through Ebay. After that Ebay will contact you with further information and instructions.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Warm Regards Michael

Hello
Very interested in the catalina 310. Could you give me more details to buy it now? Where is the boat located?
just read justin's post above thoroughly and spotted this included in a post at sailing anarchy. Ebay pulled the posting, however does this boat look familiar?

Ebay is a thoroughly dangerous place, I get phished and spoofed daily. I have yet to fall for any of it. What ever comes to me through email is suspect. I check it out by going into ebay through my "My Ebay" link and move on through any other areas from there; even paypal, I go to from "My Ebay". Any time I am asked to sign in again I don't. I reported a boat for sale the other day, when you went to the boat it asked you to sign in again and if you looked closely at the URL it was in FRANCE.
