The VISA porta potti on the new to me 1988 C27 had a busted holding tank cap..Rather than buy a whole new set up, figured trying to buy the cap might be worth while. An internet search...(had never heard of VISA brand porti potti), contact w/ some very nice people in Ontario, a couple of phone calls and got in touch with South Bend Sporting Goods, Northbrook, IL..
Explained what I needed to them and offered to pay for the cap, shipping, etc. About 3 days later, by FedEx I should add, I receive a "warranty" order at no charge that included both fresh water and waste caps and even a new fresh water dispersal piece..
KUDOS to South Bend Sporting goods! Wish ALL suppliers were like them!

A story like that is great to hear, and deserves a larger audience. You should send it in to Practical Sailor. They have a section in each issue called Where Credit is Due that highlights such efforts in customer service. They receive no kind of endorsement for publishing these stories either, I might add.
