Last December, I ordered a 250 WB. It is finally ALMOST ready, and I anticipate delivery in early April.
I have purchased a Dutchman Boom Brake, and am curious as to how to run the control line to the coaming, with the suggested 4:1 purchase, without having blocks damaging the gelcoat along the top of the coaming.
Has anyone used a Boom Brake on their 250?

We added a brake to our boat last year after two rough gybes in shifting winds. I mounted the brake to the vang attach point on the boom. The vang then attaches to the brake. Following the guidelines on page 13 of the Dutchman catalog I attached one high load block to the port chain plate with 1/4 line. The control line dead ends at the starboard chainplate, goes around the brake, down to the port block and then through a spare rope clutch on the port cabin top. We use the winch to tweak the line for the correct tension then lock it off with the clutch. There is also an adjusting knob on the brake for fine tuning. This device is a great safety feature and well worth the cost.
