I know some of you guys have every inch of your boat measured. Can any of you tell me what the rough dimensions of the setee locker area, starboard side is. It is the middle of the three where Frank Butler put the watertank. Or the forwardmost of the the aft if you count it as two. I am referring to the area from the wooden insert forward
If you didn't have an original water tank then you might not have this area...

Frank must have gone to bed, or else he'd probably have jumped all over this one...42, is the answer to Life, the universe and everything, but it took so long to find the answer, that they forgot what the question was. So, to actually answer your question, I think you should go with the blue one. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any more technical questions.
We are tossed around the idea of buying two bags and putting some sort of snap on off fittings on them. One will be full of Gin the other Water. Wouldn't that be a hoot - dry martini's out of the faucet!!! We also contemplated a y valve thing, or a hot gin cold water idea, but the weight and possible extra pump make it prohibitive.
Since it appears that you can't get a straight answer from all of these jokers, if you still need the measurment, I can get it from my 82 WK, which has the fresh water tank (white poly) under the stbd settee, and shares the settee space with twin 12 volt batts in a seperate compartment. There is a plywood partition in the water tank section that holds the tank away from the hose connections, input, outlet and vent(the vent is just a tube that runs up between the hull and the hull liner). This partition is only about 4-6 inches from the battery compartment wall. The bulk of the space is taken up by the tank, and 36"-46" sounds about right. Does this sound like your set-up too? Let me know if you want measurements off my boat.
It sure does Paul, you can't fault them completely though, I participated in the jokery. I'll be down at my boat tomorrow so I will have time to measure myself. But Thank You, I appreciate your offer.I'll be installing this tomorrow:
Nice panel. It appears that the switch labels will be lighted, correct? Where did you mount it? (It's Monday afternoon, and I assume it slipped right in over the weekend and is all hooked up). I rewired mine last year, replaced the original 5 switch factory panel with two 6 switch panels from West Marine because they would fit in the original location behind the galley sink. I also remounted the double battery main switch and the Shore A/C power breaker on each side of the dual panels. I would love to see a picture of your installation when you're done with it.
I'll have to get a pic of the finished product. I'll be posting the trials and tribulations separately later tonight. I will not ever be posting a picture of the spaghetti going into the back of the panel. That is still embarassing. - look for a different post
