My tiller recently broke while I was fishing. West Marine has a Catalina 27 tiller, does anyone know if this will work on my Catalina 25.

I had a tiller problem some years ago, and ordered the replacement from Catalina Yachts Parts Dept. Try calling them to see if the C27 tiller is the same, or if they can ship you a replacement. Their web site should have a phone #.

If the West Marine tiller does not work, try calling Catalina Direct. I replaced my tiller a few years ago, and priced one through my local Catalina dealer. The Catalina Direct tiller was about 1/2 price. Seems like it was about 60 bucks ...

I have also replaced my tiller. I bought one from West Marine that was the same length but with a slightly different shape. It works just great. It was aprox. 50$.

I got tired of repairing my laminated tiller, and bought a piece of solid mahogany at a local lumberyard for about fifteen dollars. I traced the outline of the old tiller on it, thickened it slightly, to make it a little stronger, and then took it back to

My tiller gave it up last year. It only lasted since 1977. I found a exact replacement at Boat US. Even the same manufacturer. Drilled the holes, replaced the bolts with SS and am expecting it to last 30+years also. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 al
