Anyone have info/experience with a Mercury 240 Sport inflatable? How do the Mercury inflatables stack up against other brands, i.e. WM, Zodiac, Achilles, et al?

I don't have any personal experience with them. However, last year Practical Sailor did a comparison of all inflatables under $1000 and the Mercury 240 was their Best Buy. They found it to be the driest ride of all the other inflatables they tested. I'll dig through my old issues and see if I can find the article.

I did a lot of checking and comparing last summer, One of the brands of inflatables I looked at was the Mercury - tho' I don't recall if it was the 240.
My overall impression was that the Zodiac had more features, dollar for dollar. Another key factor was the dealer, I found that the mercury dealers were not that great to deal with, they were kind of like car dealers. The local Zodiac guy sells several different brands of boats and he let me try out several models. So, I bought a zodiac.
One of my favorite features is the moving inflate wall. A great safety feature.
Around here anyway, the name Zodiac has more cache, so if I were ever to sell, I think the name would help me recoup more of my investment than the Merc name would.
