I was invited to the Bartlett Regatta Launch Party, and the Race this past weekend for my photo and R/C skills. In reality it was a good time sitting out on the Deck boat throwing in the markers and drinking beer, I did get some good use out of my new GPS. I had a good time at the launch party, and ran into a couple of Windycrest Members there. On Saturday there was a light wind out of the South, and we set up a 1 mile leg, I think that it was a W2 W4 coarse. Got some good shots of the bigger boats in the Oklahoma area, 2 Hobie 33's, an Olson 29 (taking First), A Benny 400, and a lot of boats in the 30 to 40 range. I got to see a Catalina 30 and a 28. All of these were really nice looking sailboats, or do you call them Yachts? Good times.
Nice pics. On the main photo page, to the left of the logo panel is a picture of a boat with some contraption sitting athwartships on the cabintop. Do you know what that is?
It's an instrument panel, Steve. Many of the boatowners here build or have built housings for their instruments that mount on the cabin in order to avoid cluttering their binnacle or bulkheads.
