Needed a place to stow cloths while on trips. I tried the suit case drill and that was a pain. The 1st Mate came up with this idea. They fit right behind the head bulkhead in the aft berth. She picked up two of them at Walmart. Should do the trick!

"Should do the trick."
Good idea, but how will you keep the drawers from sliding out on port tacks? Teach me that trick, and we'll do the same
Got it! A simple latch on the front lip of each box. On my way to WalMart, thanks

I'm hoping that the weight of the clothes in the drawers keep them from sliding open. If they do, I'll come up with something. The drawers are not the tightest fit in the world, seems there will be plenty of ventilation. If not it would be easy to drill a couple holes in the plastic drawers. The one problem is keeping the hole unit from falling over. We'll see, after all it's just temporary.

Yep...bungee is great stuff

I have two rubbermade stacking storage boxes that fit that space and the upper gets locked in place by the footwell so won't slide off and it in turn then locks the bottom in place so they stay put, yet are fairly easy to turn and then remove.

They are fairly common variety storage boxes with lids with the exception that to make it work, two differing sizes had to be used and if I recall correctly the top was shallower than the bottom.

I got to try out the cheapo storage drawers and Frank is right, you need a way to secure it and keep the drawers from opening. It turned over a couple times and spilled everything out. Bungee might hold the chest up right but the drawers will slide. It worked okay for us on this trip beat using suit cases but I'm looking for other options.
