Roughly, what are the ranges for shipping sails?
I'm pricing sails, and need to know how much
to budget for shipping vs shopping local in north
texas.

15 - 20 bucks TOPS!!!

I think I paid a flat 40 for my spinnaker, but that was pre negotiated.

I am glad you like them, Sorry for the moth ball smell, The 130% smelled like that when I got it. How is the shape on the sails? As mentioned I never had them up.

They smell like mothballs..........at least someone cared enough not to give them to the bugs. The shapes are great. I set the 130% on Sunday and made target speeds. The 155% is huge and required a little extra finessing to get it around the standing rigging while gybing in light wind. All in all they are perfect for my purposes.

Chriszzz,

Distance will also factor in. Cost me $25 to mail a mainsail to Colorado, but I think it was $15 to FEDEX a jib to Duane in whatever state he is in. I'm shipping from New Hampster.

When I bought my new sails, a sailmaker in Maine charged me $50 for a 155 genny and a sailmaker in California included shipping in the price for a mainsail.
