First overnight and trip on Swimmer in Maine made possible by the patience and generosity of Tako Kichi (Justin) and his girlfriend. They were so good to me and later my wife when she joined us by kayak:

Do I really need all this stuff?

Not a lot of boats in the mooring field yet...

Nice island...can't pronounce or spell the name.

Follow us, we know where we are going...good friends. They got themselves an amazing boat.

Where we poached some moorings, beautiful.

Another view...

Man, are they ever getting up...of course, no wind anyway.

All good things come to an end, heading back...

It was a great intro to Casco Bay, I got to sail Swimmer 15 miles on Sunday afternoon. Would have kept on going, but prudence dictated a return to the anchorage and the SO's.

Small fry for some of you, but I'm ecstatic to be getting my feet wet in this adventure.

Rick

Wow, I love Maine. Wish I could sail regularly in Maine. I don't think I'd like the winters though.

Great pics, thanks for sharing!
