Tomorrow should be splash day. The weather looks good, company has flown in. We're ready to go, sort of. The yard where the boat has been stored is saying that they don't have any guest spaces nor moorings available so sea trials, etc. are out. If the motor runs, of we go. I was at the boat today putting on the main and it seems to go way high. If the boom rides above the main sail slot (as I think) then this boat affords stand-up room WHILE sailing, which is fantastic. I could wait till tomorrow to see the boom position, but thought I'd ask since it is going to be hectic tomorrow, what with an oil change needed and an inhospitable marina.

That means that there are sail slides below the slot as well and that you have to adjust so the kerfslot falls between slides. Is that correct? If so, now I see why there have been a few postings on how to close the slot.
