Hi Ombra, here is the link to their page. It is a very informal group that puts on races and cruises. Oh, by the way, they like to drink....hope that does not offend you :>) On the bottom right of the webpage is the membership app. It is $20.00 a year. I got $200.00 off my slip just by joining. Jumping in here to mention the adjustable topping lift. It is really an improvement over the pigtail and not expensive. It will keep your boom from crashing around the cockpit, as well as help prevent you from accidently "taking off" while working with the halyard. There was a drawing in the forum a few months ago. The bitter end can either be secured along the boom or be led to the cabintop. I tied a figure eight a little way in from the end where it would snub against the fairlead in case I forget to cleat it.

Dan, I believe it is called a topping lift. The adjustable backstay (at least on my boat) would NOT keep the boom from toppling at any time.
