Hi All, I am just now finishing Adlard Coles Heavy Weather sailing and got to tell you, it is the best sailing book I've ever read. The first couple chapters cover his Atlantic ocean racing in a 25 foot sailboat in the 1920s. No GPS, no Radio, they did not even have to wear PFD or be tethered to the boat. All the tales in the book are about his sailing/racing in heavy weather; so anywhere from 30 to 90 knot winds. I just checked Amazom and it is still in print. At the end of every chapter, there is a leasons learned and I think I've learned more from those snipets than anywhere else. Cheers and happy reading. p.s., I have no affiliation with the seller or author, just wanted to share with those who might be caught in a force 8 blow in a 25 footer.
