There's been a reference or two made here about a very good website for selling - buying used boats . . . does any remember the name of that site or better yet can you shoot me the web address?
Thanks in advance . . .

By the way - yes, OJ is going up for sale. If you know anyone that might be intetrested in a professionally maintained 1981 C25 - you may want to have them contact me here before I list it next week.

sailingtexas.com has a special Catalina section. It has boats from the coasts. I consider yachtworld.com to be the place to find the most boats.

Passage sold about 22 hours after listing her on this site. The advantage here is that buyers are lurking, and already know what a C-25 or C-250 is. Also, they probably have begun to value the support given by this community and are interested in becoming part of it. That was the case for me when I bought Passage after lurking for about a year. To sell her, I wasted $50 listing on Boattrader.com--I pulled it about 18 hours after placing it.

Try the Swap Meet first--it's free with unlimited pictures (very important).

Yachtworld is for brokers only. BoatUS and Boattrader.com are probably the biggest that take public ads, but limit what you can show and tell. I included links to our Swap Meet in both of them.

sailboatowners.com is another site you might try, but i agree about posting it on the swap meet. if you're desperate, you could also try selling it on ebay.

BTW, Steve... That great name has to be half the value! What's your next chapter?

Best of luck!

A few months ago, I sold a travel trailer and a pickup on eBay...got $33.5k for them...and I was not 'desperate.'

Like they mentioned, post here in the swap meet section, but I would also recommend www.craigslist.org. It's a free classifieds site and very popular in many areas. They have classifieds for all the different major cities in the U.S.
