I just bought the "Rogue's Gallery" CD set.

IMHO: It is fantastic. Not what one would expect either. This is not a set of "99 beers on the wall" type of music. It's an edgy compilation of songs sung by various artists.

Here is the link.

It's was $15.00 at Amazon.

Enjoy,

Actually, I am surprised no one has responded to your posting. I would be interested in getting a CD of sailor songs. I listened to the short audio bites of the CD you mentioned. It is different than some of the other ones that i also previewed on Amazon using their search feature to find addl sailor songs. Another one titled Pirates Of the Toucan....something also was of interest to me. I am not ready to buy yet...but consider it.

Maybe having the CD run in background while viewing this website on the PC would be a nice touch. Still considering it along with the hundred other things to consider.

Thanks for sharing info.

I gotta jump in here, too - right before I go to check out this site! I'm a HUGE music person (what's this "TV" thing everyone talks about?), and play guitar in what's purported to be a Jimmy Buffett cover band, but in reality we play more Jerry Jeff Walker than we do Buffett. btw, the band's name is "Three Sheets to the Wind".

But I digress...
I'd like to make a plug for some music I've been listening to since I first saw this guy at a convention in Key West and later ran into him playing the Strictly Sail boat show in Chi. He's now big with the Lats and Atts group, and so forth. Great songwriter, very big into sailing (has a Catalina 30, IIRC). His name's Eric Stone, his website is www.boatsongs.com and it lives up to the name.

And while not quite as boat-oriented as Stone, another guy who's a phenomenal songwriter (very prolific, as well) if you like the older style of Buffett music is Jim Morris. A great sense of humor, great storyteller, and puts Buffett to shame if you ask me. Nice guy, too! Check out his stuff at http://www.jim-morris.com/. I've seen this guy play in Key West and New Orleans more times than I can count, and I dont travel anywhere without at least a few of his CDs.
