I thought it was all over here in Michigan but today it was 65, with south winds 10-15 gusting to 20. I got up at 7 and was at the boat by 8 and sailing by 9. I got back in at 6, in the dark. I had a great day cruizing around Lake St. Clair. Just a great day. the only issue I have is my butt is still sore. (small price). I hove to for about a half hour while I ate lunch and took in the view. I made 2.1 knots hove to. I am bubbling the boat this year and if this year is like the last couple I should be able to sail into November. Cheers.
You are right...Yesterday was probably one of the best days for sailing around here in a long time. Unfortunately, I hauled out just over a week ago! Glad you were able to sneek another one in.
Dennis, You can probably thank me for the good weather - I hauled my boat out on Friday evening when it was 40 degrees and raining and I just knew in my heart that as soon as the keel was on the hard the weather would turn for the better. So I'm glad someone got to enjoy the great weather on Monday. Consider it a partial repayment for the storm jib you gave me.
