Just wanted to let you know there's a new C25 owner out in Puget Sound, and to give all of you a big thanks for the info on this website. It was invaluable during my search- first, deciding the C25 was the best choice in family cruiser for us, and second, what to look for in finding a great C25.
Now I gotta chime in on this keg thing...
1983 C25 FK/SR Finistere Garner Olympia WA ~/)~ ~~~
Welcome aboard Garner. I think you will have a good time with your new boat and hope it will bring your family hours, days, weeks, months, years of enjoyment. Don't ever be ascaird of asking questions, you will always get a number of responses. Cheers.
Garner: Welcome from an "outgoing" member who found his C-25 and this site to be a wonderful experience. As you can see, I and some other "member emeriti" can't stay away!
Yes I would be the dip$#!t in the picture, however it was from the Commodores ball at the club. It was Formal, nautical attire requested. Harvey and I both went as judge smails.

Welcome to the group and the website. We just bought our C25 Fin Keel, Standard Rig, in March of this year. This site and everyone on it has been very helpful when answering my questions and ready to provide direction.
Wil, Large forum, small world- ours is in Boston Harbor as well, as of last weekend. I'm guessing that was your boat on the trailer this summer in the parking lot? Hope I run into you soon!
Maybe I'll see you on the water someday? I sail out of Boston Harbor Marina its at the north end of Bud Inlet - west end of Dana Passage. <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">
Welcome aboard Garner. Boston Harbor holds many wonderful memories for me. My sister and brother in law used to live on the beach by the lighthouse. Bro in law's father was the lighthouse keeper there. Spent lots of great summers there as a kid and lots of holidays there as a young adult. Used to love going to Yard-Birds and rummaging through the treasures. As far as this forum goes, don't be ascaired of Dennis (DJN).
Post pictures whenever you can. Learning how to use Shutterfly or one of the other picture hosting sites will make getting the right answer a lot more effective.
Have fun. Must feel great to have made the right decision on which boat to buy.
Garner, If it was a C250 near the end of August, it was probably me. It is the only C250 moored at Boston Harbor. I was loading up for a quick trip to the San Jauns.
If you have a trailer, the ramp their is good. Just use it at high tide. It flattens out at low tide.

Garner, if you're not familiar with it already, check out South Sound Sailing Society. The local club for racing and cruising sailboats. Meets second Tuesday of every month at the Olympia Yacht Club. That was yesterday, of course. Sorry my reply wasn't better timed. Doors open 1800 hrs.
Stampeder, knew a guy whose family lived right next to the Dofflemeyer Point (Boston Harbor)lighthouse. A Steve Campbell. Owned a Cal 25 we used to race.
Thanks John, I'm actually a member w/ my Santana 20 Wahine, which we used to race, but took last year off. Don't make it to too many meetings, however!
