Last week when traveling through stopped by where we have launched for the last 30 years and this is what I found. The hoist with the straps is in the foreground laying on the ground. I really was disturbed as it looked like the big change to the Marina was going to be just for the big boats and we were again on our own to launch somewhere else. But found out that the new hoist would be maybe ready for March with the new fee.

That's good news. How much will the new fee be (I am afraid to ask)?

Just curious...anyone visit the Bellingham YC. My daughter did the etched glass panels they installed early this summer, but events were such that she never got a photo.

<font color="blue"><font size="4"><font face="Comic Sans MS">Stopped in today at Cap Sante Marine LTD and asked about the new fee for next year, they said it would probley be $20 for boats over 23 feet.
They will also step your mast for $20 now.....I may take them up on that.....my boat is in for minor gel coat repairs at thier other shop.
Should be sailing by Dec or Jan.

Sounds like we are going to have a new great hoist and at a price that shouldn't take a bit out of the cruising budget. The people at the Marina and launch facility have been the reason for us chosing Cap Sante. Have enjoyed the small town feeling from the locals too. We look forward to our next cruise this next summer, say with so many C25s and C250 interested is there a get together possible?

"is there a get together possible?"

What time were you thinking of? Late June? July?

I'd like to get together this summer if possible. My work schedule sometimes nukes things at the last minute, but barring that, I can go most any time.

Something that adjoins the weekend after the 4th of July weekend, whatever that is, would be particularly convenient for me, as I have a friend that will be out from Iowa that loves to sail around that time. But whenever...
